RAW MATERIAL ETHICS AND SUSTAINABILITY IN RESPECT OF ICES & MSC

FF Skagen's stated objective is to exploit raw materials in the sea around us on a long-term and sustainable basis.

FF Skagen does not use fish which Danish and international organizations designate as endangered species. FF Skagen processes fish which are found in Danish waters, east and northwest of Ireland and all the way up to the North Atlantic. FF Skagen also uses trimmings from the filet factories, complying with the same ethical standards.

FF Skagen's raw material ethics and sustainability principles are based on independent scientific documentation and assessments, conducted in collaboration with accredited experts and public authorities. All of our products are manufactured following the sustainability fisheries regulations, laid down by the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO) and the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). FF Skagen is also certified by Soil Association, Naturland, and MSC.
